Math 667: Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education (RUME)

In Spring 2019 I am teaching a graduate course for students interested in learning more about RUME - students will gain an overview of research into student thinking in RUME, curriculum's designed based on that research base, & research related to these curriculum; additionally, students will explore other important topics in RUME that do not fit neatly into that organization, such as work related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in RUME, GTA and other math instructor preparation, and other RUME areas. Seminars and Workshops

MPWR: Mentoring and Partnerships for Women in RUME (Research in Undergradaute Mathematics Education) is a seminar that I helped create, organize, and run in February 2014, 2015, 2016,  2017, and 2018. We recieved NSF funding (THANK YOU!) for three more years of this awesome event. MPWR 2019 will be happening in Oklahoma City in February. Please visit the website for more info!

The Academy of Inquiry Based Learning is an organization that runs a workshop for college mathematics instructors around using active learning. I am very happy to be a part of their summer workshops, and will be working on the equity team this year, designing materials to support IBL workshops in attending to equity and inclusion within an IBL class.
