Download Instuctions for "Advanced Calculus of One Variable"

The goal of writing this text was to put it on the web and make it as cheap and as easy as possible to use it. For that reason I have included several ways that you and/or your students might want to use it. I have included a pdf copy of the text which I assume can be read online and/or printed. As you will see, the online version is set up so that the references---the table of contents, references to definitions, proposition, equations, etc. and the index---are clickable. This may make the online version especially handy for your students (though you will see that it finds the page, not specifically the reference). If your students print it, please suggest to them that they print it double sided to save trees.

We will also include a booklet copy here. My original intention was to have a booklet version to be the desired venue---it would be very portable (it always helps if the students have a copy of the text where ever they go) and of course it saves paper. I have been told that it is impossible to staple and fold 60 pages. I have been told that to have the booklet copied and cheaply bound, it would cost in the neighborhood of $14---which is more than I wanted it to cost. The booklet version can be printed, cut, holed (if there is such a word) and put together either with some sort of fastener or in a loose leaf binder.

Open the booklet version: (it will be available near August 1, 2009)

I will include corrections to the pdf version until approximately August 1st. At that time I will start accumulating an errata page. This way you will know that the versions will be kept the same for the rest of the semester (with any mistakes that are found placed on the errata page).
