Homework and Quizzes
There will be 12 homework grades, each 8 points. The overall grade will be (1) 75 points if the HW total exceeds 75 or (2) the HW total if it is less than 75. As an example of what combines to make a homework grade, note that HW2 will consist of those problems assigned on Jan 25,28,29,and 30. LATE HOMEWORK IS NOT ACCEPTED.
There are 15 quizzes planned for either Tuesday or Wednesday of each week. Most often a quiz is on Wednesday. The exceptions are for the three weeks when there are exams and the last week of classes. Each quiz is worth 7 points. The overall grade will be (1) 75 points if the Quiz total exceeds 75 or (2) the Quiz total if it is less than 75.
