Beth Malmskog
Office: Weber Building Room 17 Class Information: This
semester I’m teaching Math 130, math for the social sciences. Course materials and grades are available
on RamCT, at ramct.colostate.edu. Office
Hours:
and by
appointment—send an email to set one up. Research:
I study
algebraic curves over finite fields, especially maximal curves. My 2007 masters
paper discussed the Hasse-Weil bound for the number
of points on an elliptic curve over a finite field and the Sato-Tate
conjecture. I’m currently
studying maximal curves and their automorphism
groups. I am also interested in the
zeta functions of finite connected graphs. Miscellaneous: Listen
to me on the radio Mondays 3-5 pm. You
can win an excellent Super Monday Buffet T-shirt by
answering a math trivia question. Tune to
