TITLE:    Invariant-Based Face Recognition

ABSTRACT: After a brief review of recent striking applications of algebra 
to engineering and computer science, the currently significant problem of 
face recognition is addressed. We introduce a new approach to obtaining 
invariants of Lie groups adapted to this problem and describe its success 
in implementations.
