A cell exclusion algorithm is used to numerically find the global minimum of multiparametric surfaces arising in Hopf bifurcation problems. The method is then applied to the oscillatory neutral stability surface resulting from the linear stability analysis of the weak electrolyte model for the electroconvection of nematic liquid crystals (NLC).
