GAP Installers

This page lists detailled information about the installers.

Included Packages

All packages included are in their current version when the version of GAP was released. Unless indicated specifically, the installers will not be updated for package updates. Packages are included with priority if there is perceived use in undergraduate courses, as well as by preference of the archive creator. (In the OSX installer each package must be done separately ``by hand''.) The basic GAP system and the GGAP shell are always included.

The status of the packages means:

5 Installed by default, full functionality
4 Optional install, full functionality
3 Installed by default, partial functionality (no calls to external binaries)
2 Optional install, partial functionality (no calls to external binaries)
1 Currently unavailable, but will be added in future versions or by request
0 Unavailable -- the package will not work on this platform for technical reasons
