Information on Grading Positions and Application

The Math Department is hiring graders for Fall 2009. We currently have need of the following:

  • Math 130 TAs-Teaching Assistant for MATH130-Math in the Social Sciences: You will run a lab/recitation section TR9-10 am. In this lab/recitation you will help students with worksheets and administer quizzes and exams. You will also grade worksheets and quizzes. You will work around 5 hours per week. Materials and help will be available to learn the material, if you need it.
  • Graders for a Calculus Pool- you will be contacted to grade exams, labs and other work as needed. Courses can include Math 141, 155, 160, 161, 261 and 340- please indicate which courses you would feel comfortable working with. Hours will vary from 2-3 hrs/week to random times throughout the semester.
  • proctor for Weber 205- must be available 2 evenings 5-10pm every week (M-R), responsible, dependable, etc. You will be in charge of monitoring the computer lab and maintaining the security of the computers and other equipment.

    Qualifications for calculus/differential equations positions- should have taken the course for college credit, preferably at CSU. Must have received a B or better in the course. Qualifications for Math 130 positions- must be reliable and responsible and should have some experience working with students.
