Getting Around CSU and Fort Collins

The mathematics department is house in the Weber Building, which is located on east side of the Colorado State University Campus. The Best Western Hotel is within easy walking distance of the mathematics department. The mathematics department occupies most of the Weber Building. The main office and the lounge are located on the first floor. The lecture and computer rooms are located on the second floor.

There are several choices for lunch on campus including fast food, a student cafeteria, and a faculty cafeteria. All of these are located in the Lory Student Center. The area near the intersections of Laurel and College, which is an easy walk from the Weber Building, also has several good options for lunch. Favorites include the Rainbow Grill, Avogrado's Number, and the Pickle Barrel.

Downtown Fort Collins is a very nice place to visit during the evening, with many stores, bars, and restaurants. It is just over a mile due north from the Best Western. You can walk either on College or Remington avenues. You can also take a Transfort bus for $1.00. The number 1 route runs up and down College Avenue past the Best Western. The north end of the route is the public bus station in the downtown area, which is close by the center of downtown.
