Congratulations to Colorado State University graduate alumni Dr. Beth Malmskog. The AMS Public Awareness Office recently appointed Dr. Malmskog, Villanova University, and Dr. Sara Malec, Hood College, as their two new editiors of the PhD + Epsilon blog. The two bloggers will discuss important issues to early career mathematicians. This was featured in the NOTICES of the American Mathematical Society, November 2015 issue.

Dr. Malmskog received her Ph.D. from Colorado State University in 2011. Her Ph.D. adviser was Dr. Rachel Pries. Her thesis was on the automorphism groups of maximal curves. Since graduation she has been a Van Vleck visiting assistant professor at Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut, and a visiting assistant professor at Colorado College, Colorado Springs. Dr. Malmskog is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Villanova University, Pennsylvania.
