Dr. David Aristoff joins the Department of Mathematics faculty

Dr. David Aristoff joins CSU's Department of Mathematics as an assistant professor in the area of mathematical aspects of materials science. Dr. Aristoff received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Texas in 2011 under the supervision of Charles Radin. Before joining the department, he was a Dunham Jackson Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota. His research interests include applied and computation math, modeling and simulation, and mathematical physics.

Outside of work, Dr. Aristoff enjoys bicycling and classical piano music. Please stop by his office in 221 Weber and welcome him to the department!
