The Department of Mathematics Welcomes Postdoctoral Fellows Natalia Lara Herrera and Miguel Montoya Vallejo

Natalia Lara Herrera and Miguel Montoya Vallejo each received a Ph.D. in Fall of 2012 from the University of Sao Paulo, co-advised by Jennifer Mueller of CSU and Raul Gonzalez-Lima of USP. Natalia's research interests include inverse problems, electrical impedance tomography (EIT), and optimization techniques. Natalia is teaching and doing research on EIT with Professor Mueller. Her outside interests include exercising, dancing, traveling, and watching movies and documentaries. Miguel's research interests include inverse problems and electrical impedance tomography (EIT). He is also teaching and doing research on EIT with Professor Mueller. In his spare time, he enjoys studying history, learning how to make 3D animations, and numismatics.
