Professor Gerald Taylor received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from San Jose State College (1961) and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan in 1965. He held positions at University of Arizona and Michigan State University prior to joining the faculty at Colorado State in 1974.

Professor Taylor's areas of current interest include approximation theory, optimization and numerical analysis. He is currently collaborating with research groups in dynamic meteorology at Colorado State University.
