Ms. Samer received her B.S. degree from Bucknell University in 1976 and her M.S. degree from Purdue University in 1977. She joined the Colorado State University mathematics department in 1982.

Ms. Samer has co-directed Colorado State's Individualized Mathematics Program (IMP) since joining the department. In addition to supervising the daily operation of the IMP and its staff of 35 undergraduate assistants, she has lectured in several of the one-credit precalculus math ìmini-coursesî taught in the IMP. More recently, her responsibilities have centered on the design, implementation and on-going administration of a departmental database that serves the intensive record management needs of the IMP.

As Director of Department Information Resources, Ms. Samer is responsible for the acquisition, analysis and reporting of data relevant to curricula and departmental program decisions.
