Professor Bennet Manvel received his B.S. degree from Oberlin College in 1964 and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan in 1970. He has been at Colorado State since 1970 except for leaves spent at Cambridge University in Oxford, England, the University of Melborne in Melbourne, Australia and the Instituto Matematico in Florence, Italy.

Professor Manvel enjoys teaching a wide variety of mathematics - 32 different courses to date - and was selected University Honors Professor in 1987. He is the co-author (with R.C. Bose) of Introduction to Combinatorial Theory, has co-written (with Professor Frank DeMeyer) the materials used in our business mathematics course and has written the materials for our course in mathematics for social scientists.

Professor Manvel's research interests include graph theory and combinatorial theory. He is also a reviewer and referee for several professional journals.
