B.A.: University of Texas at Austin
Ph.D.: Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Specialization: Algebraic topology

Professor Jeanne Duflot received her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1974 and her Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1980. She joined the Colorado State University faculty in 1984.

Professor Duflot's research interests lie in the areas of algebraic topology, algebraic geometry and algebra. In algebraic topology, she has worked in the areas of group cohomology, group actions on manifolds and modules over the steenrod algebra. Her more recent interests in algebraic geometry have centered on Gaussian maps for algebraic varieties; in algebra, on deformations of Hopf algebras, quasi-Hopf algebras and applications of those to algebraic topology.

Professor Duflot has taught many undergraduate and graduate courses and enjoys participating in seminars run for graduate students.
