Course Outline: 
This course covers the following sections: 11.1 - 11.9, 12.1 - 12.8,
13.1 -13.9 and 14.1 - 14.9 of the text.

Examinations: 

Scheduled in class midterms: 9/20, 10/15, 11/19. 
Unnannounced 5 minute quizzes
at the start of class often and a Uniform Final as scheduled.

Grading Policy:
Total points (curved) is used to determine the grades. Grades usually correspond closely to 100\% - 90\%, A; 89\% - 80\%, B; etc. An exceptionally good performance on the final can give one a grade superior to that determined by one's total points. You may ask questions about this anytime.
