Text:  Discrete Methods for Physical Systems
            by Paul DuChateau

Course Outline:

       Theory and applications of systems of linear algebraic equations;
          the algebraic eigenvalue problem. The emphasis in this course is 
          on physical applications, particularly deriving,solving and interpreting
          discrete and semidiscrete mathematical models for physical systems.


Examinations:
   Exams will be "take-home"
