Skills Review Exam

Students need to pass a review exam that covers basic math skills necessary to be successful in the course before they can access the content of their PACe minicourse.  The Skills Review Exam is located within the online course materials at http://online.math.colostate.edu.  This exam contains 10 items, at least eight items must be answered correctly to pass the exam.  After the student takes the exam for the first time, study materials become available to help the student  refresh their memory.  The Skills Review Exam may be taken until a passing score is achieved.

The first time a student passes the Skills Review Exam the student will earn one Progress Credit.  A student may only earn one progress credit per exam.

Unit Review Exams

We want to make sure students have a firm grasp of the material before taking a Unit Exam.  Students will be required to pass a Review Exam with scores of at least 80% to qualify for a Unit Exam.  Review Exams are located within the online course materials at http://online.math.colostate.edu.  Each Review Exam contains 10 items, so eight items must be answered correctly to meet course requirements and be eligible to go on to take the Unit Exam.  The Final Exam does not have a Review Exam.  Students should study for the Final Exam by retaking the previous four Review Exams.

By passing the unit Review Exam a student qualifies for two attempts on the Unit Exam.  If the student is unsuccessful in passing the Unit Exam within those two attempts, the student must retake and pass the unit Review Exam again to qualify for two more attempts.  The first time a student passes the Review Exam the student will earn one Progress Credit.  A student may only earn one progress credit per exam.
