INTENSIVE  TRIGONOMETRY  REVIEW

The prerequisites for MATH 160 Calculus for Physical Scientist I are MATH 117, MATH 118, MATH 125, and MATH 126.   MATH 124 is a co-requisite and may be taken concurrently with MATH 160.   The Intensive Trigonometry Review is intended for incoming freshmen who need to take MATH 160 fall semester but did not satisfy the trigonometry prerequisite on the Mathematics Placement Examination.

To be eligible to participate in the Intensive Trigonometry Review, a student must have
taken the Mathematics Placement Exam no later than Thursday, July 30, 2009 and

placed out of or qualified for credit in at least MATH 117 and MATH 118.

Students who have placed out of both MATH 125 and MATH 126 have met the prerequisites for MATH 160 and do not need to participate in the Intensive Trigonometry Review.   However, eligible students may register for the review if they wish to earn credit for one or both of these two trigonometry minicourses.

Students participating in the Intensive Trigonometry Review register for MATH 125 and/or MATH 126 through the Division of Continuing Education based on their CSU Math Placement results. The review is then completed independently by accessing the online course materials. After completing all of the review exams for each course, students must take a proctored final exam on-campus. Students who successfully complete the Intensive Trigonometry Review will receive credit for MATH 125 Numerical Trigonometry (1 credit) and/or MATH 126 Analytic Trigonometry (1 credit) with a grade of A, B or C.  .
